Failure of the Christian, Failure of the worldling: Christian says (and maybe believes) he is offering truth and love but instead offers self-righteous judgment and personal opinion; worldling says (and maybe believes) he has freedom and goodness but instead offers enslavement to self and the appetites. Common bonds? Lack of humility. Blindness to self-deception.
