…I get the “music bug”. This sounds simple enough, but it’s really not. Life doesn’t slow down to allow the time I had back when I was writing/recording music. I’m amazed that some people can have a full-time job and still function full-time as a musician these days. I don’t seem to be one of them. But, I can say this, I’ve been in contact with a few folks and the idea of putting out new music is closer to reality than ever.
In the short term, I still need to put out this fire of getting paid. Bills are coming and not getting my monthly retainer check has not been a peaceful experience. :-) I believe things will be better as I’m changing some billing policies. The strain of the situation though has been unavoidable.
Back on music, I HAVE been writing quite a bit these past few months. I keep audio notes on my iPhone and am convinced I have a great record in me. The Guardian guys are always up for new stuff, but getting us to pull the trigger is a different story..I will have Crunch with Vic and the NYC crew.. but that’s mostly a vocal outlet for me..Vic is the pulse of Crunch, I’m just along for the ride. It’s what makes it work…and I believe the results show it’s the right path.
That’s my mind dump tonight…thanks for indulging me. Things are always subject to change (like Indiana weather) but it does me good to spit out what’s on my mind at any given time.
Holla!
