Good…

Good.
That’s the word that comes to my mind looking out the window of seat 37A on Continental Airlines. Looking at God’s creation from 30k feet is pretty awesome. Especially when you get a look at the beautiful terrain of Guatemala. When God said “It is good”, you better believe that it’s the truth.

What a great weekend. If you are connected to me on Facebook and Twitter, I did my best to make you a part of the experience. Hopefully you got a glimpse of why the members of Guardian are always blessed and humbled by Latin American fans. Some of the most passionate folks on the planet.. It’s inspiring. A band that played before us did some revved up versions of some modern worship songs. It was cool to be backstage and hearing familiar songs of offering.. When I looked over at Karl, he was raising his hand in praise. It’s good to be able to worship through music. Fact.

I have a busy week ahead of me. Spark Media gigs that need to be rocked and I’m looking forward to tearing into them! :-) I’ll be glad to see my family… I don’t travel very much these days so I’m not as used to being away. I miss ‘em.

Checking in on the Craig Groeschel book I’m reading (“Christian Athiest”).. It’s really good. Really challenging to my heart about how much I really trust God with things. Sure, I can ‘say’ I do… But do I honestly give my troubles to God? I’m in a strange position in my faith.. I have more belief than ever but I also have doubts that sometime troubles me. I think God just wired me to be a man of questions ;-). One thing I am firm about: whatever question I have, Jesus is the answer!

Jamie Rowe | Jamey Perrenot

Back to Guardian, I love these guys like brothers. 20+ years later and it’s still a family. It’s cool how Jamey Perrenot just fits in with us so easily. Jamey is a great guy and I am glad God has him in the mix. Now maybe we can play out more than once a year.

I’m writing this blog offline on my iPhone… No wifi on this plane so I’ll have to wait to publish it. I’ll add some pics that I posted on Facebook here in case you missed them.

Thanks for reading. I can be all over the place emotionally at times but one thing is for certain: I am blessed with an awesome family, friends, church, band and so much more that money can’t buy. If currency was based on the people in my life, I’d def say I’m rich. Mos def!

Holla!

ps: after I finished this blog, I started reading my book again.. And was hit with the scripture ” Trust the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding..in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight.” – Confession: I rely on ‘my own understanding’ far too often!
