“They are just throwing rocks at the parade they want to be in”
I heard that phrase for the first time this past week (thx Israel Houghton). I thought it was a brilliant analogy. This could apply to many a ministry critic, but in this case it made me think of people I have encountered that bag on the Christian music industry and even the traditional record business. I never hear people lobbing hate grenades at either industry unless they are a) Unsigned or b) Recently dropped by a label. The internet makes it easy to get your music heard…now’s your chance to show them what they are doing wrong. Blow up YouTube, get your songs on iTunes, put your CD on CDBaby, broadcast your concert…these are free to near-free opportunities to get that fanbase. Unless, of course, your music just isn’t interesting to anyone..
This post could go on forever…
What parade are you throwing rocks at? Maybe it’s time to get over it…
